On Saturday there is a strong supporting cast of Scottish talent including
Runrig front man and now a successful singer songwriter in his own right, Donnie Munro . With his fine blend of Celtic influences and rock, Donnie has been entertaining audiences all over the world for the last 40 years.

Singer-songwriter James Grant, who of course is the lead singer and songwriter behind the band Love And Money. An extremely talented acoustic ballad-spinner, his songs are known for their expressive melancholy and poetic lyricism. With his full band behind him and performing songs such as “Strange Kind Of Love” and “Jocelyn Square”, we are sure that he will be one of the weekends’ highlights.

The Bluebells will be singing their huge hits “Young At Heart”, “I’m Falling” and “Cath” . Hue and Cry will perform hits such as “Labour of Love”, “Ordinary Angel”, “I Refuse” and of course “Looking For Linda”. Deacon Blue are the headliners , fresh from their appearance at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games .
Sunday kicks off with Brownbear. Hailing from Ayrshire, they appeared at various festivals already this year including T In the Park.

The pop-folk-rock sounds of The Silencers will be adding a touch of international flavour as they are flying in from their home in France especially for Party at The Palace.
One of Scotland’s leading singer songwriters, award-winning Horse McDonald remains fresh, vibrant and current.

Frightened Rabbit then take to the stage , fresh from headlining Tartan Heart Festival the day before.The Frabbits have been on the go for 8 years and are on to their 4th album already – two of which saw them break into the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

Dundee superstars The View have had many hit singles including “Superstar Tradesman”, “Same Jeans” and “Wasted Little DJs”, The View never fail to deliver a bit of rock and roll wherever they go. han you may be expecting. The band will be bringing along the Cairn String Quartet.

Closing year one of Party at The Palace are the biggest band in Scottish music history , Simple Minds. Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill and the band will bring the curtain down on the first ever Party at The Palace. Who’s betting they close their set with “Waterfront” ?
